SA: Second man charged in kidnapping case

ADELAIDE, April 20 AAP - A second person has been arrested over the kidnapping of an
Adelaide woman last week.

Police said today a 35-year-old man was taken into custody last night.

He was charged with kidnapping and was expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates
Court today.

His arrest followed yesterday's court appearance by Simon Parker, 25, who was also
charged with kidnapping.

Parker made no application for bail and was not required to enter a plea.

He was remanded in custody to appear in court again in June.

On Saturday Lily Do, 25, was found bound and distressed but otherwise unharmed in a
vacant house in the northern suburb of Pooraka about 20 hours after she was snatched by
two men wearing stockings over their heads.

Police said the kidnappers tied up Ms Do's husband before forcing her from her house
in suburban Prospect and into her car.

They then fled in the vehicle.

Police later confirmed an extortion demand was made to Ms Do's family, reportedly for $50,000.
