Stenson hails US invasion.

Swede believes a stronger field means better golf all round going into the Qatar Masters Swedish sensation Henrik Stenson has welcomed the American invasion and believes they can only help strengthen the standing of the new Race to Dubai. US Ryder Cup sensation Boo Weekley is the big draw this weekend in Doha, along with compatriot Brandt Snedeker. But rather than fear the US PGA Tour stars, Stenson has welcomed the challenge. The Americans are set to join rising star Anthony Kim in joining the European Tour. They will then need to play 12 European Tour events to qualify for a shot at the Race to Dubai and season-ending Dubai World Championship. And although he endured a nightmare start to the Desert Swing, missing the cut at Abu Dhabi last weekend, Swede Stenson has welcomed the stronger field in Qatar. The world No.11 explained: "It was definitely one of the thoughts when they launched the Race to Dubai, to try to attract stronger fields to tournaments and to the Tour in general. Obviously the Race to Dubai has done that and I am delighted to see more of the American tour players coming over to play in Europe. "I see them on a regular basis when I'm competing in America but it's developing perfectly for everyone to play against the best fields now on a weekly basis." Talking of a weekly basis, American star Boo will be guaranteed a large following this weekend thanks to the big-hitting display which helped put Nick Faldo's men to the sword in Valhalla last year. Ahead of his first visit to the Middle East, the 35-year-old admitted the Ryder Cup had a major impact on him. He said: "It took me about a week to get over it, it really did. I got home that Monday, and for about the first two hours, I played with my kids and I went up and laid down in my bed. "I've got a little loft upstairs and I was sitting there and I started crying and broke down from all the emotions finally coming out. It is kind of hard to put it into words and how you really felt."
